| This is one of a recent batch of excellent releases I received from my friends at Shadowplay. Doppelganger are from Moscow and 'Dancing' was released in 2005. Doppelganger mix 90's Gothic Rock (Into The Abyss, Dronning Maudland, Bay Laurel, Catherines Cathedral, Advent Sleep, Rose Of Avalanche with a hint of 69 Eyes). Stand out tracks Are' Killing Machine' which has a subtle electronic background, whilst still maintaing its full on Gothic rock appeal and the track should work well on the dancefloor. 'Pain Of Feelings' reminds me of early Malaise and again have people shaking their boots. 'City Of Sin' is another outstanding track -love the choppy guitar. 'Winter's Misery' (Blizzard rmx by Requiem for FM) - Unlike the usual remixes that are heard in Western Europe, this does have an original and fresh sound, which should ensure a wider audience will here it in more electro Gothic clubs. Doppelganger should be releasing a follow up to this album later this month and I'm sure it will be well worth tracking down!
